This afternoon when I went to collect eggs I grabbed the side of the nest box and came away with a handful of red mites! I saw where they were hiding between the cracks in the nest box, but didn't see them anywhere else. I hope that the infestation isn't anywhere else! I've never had this problem before and the only thing the feed store had was a garden/poultry/pig dust for lice and mites. I used the whole can on the entire coop, chickens, and all the corners. In you all's experience, will this solve the problem? Should I use something else or treat again? I hate the thought of those bugs bothering my poor hens at night!
