red pullets

I bought some red pullets a tsc back in march/april, i think they are red stars(hence my username). but if they arent what breed are they?

Red Stars is fine. Hatcheries make up all kinds of names for these hybrids. They're an intentional mix. Not a breed.

They are, however, some the best brown egg layers in the universe. LOL Enjoy.

I too bought six at TSC April 1st. Mine were labeled red sex links (red star) and look identical to yours. Bet your getting six eggs a day too.

well im getting one,two,or three eggs a day. i guess some arent mature enough to lay yet.

Mine are 21 weeks old now and all laying. The first one layed at 18 weeks and the last one just started about 4 day ago. I have two nesting boxes and they all use the same one.

Yes, those are Red Stars! You'll soon be getting LOTS of eggs. I have a friend who has a Red Star, and her birds lays every day. It has only missed one day since starting laying last fall!
