Red Roof Hens and Lonesome Pines farms cookout & hatching egg hunt,GA

Well, I did get lucky today. Terry brought me a scratch-off ticket and I won $100! That might cover the gas, LOL! So, even though he'll be working, I'll drive down. Someone send me a few phone numbers in case I get lost! I'll be bringing quail eggs

I was surprised by my youngest son and infant grandson with a visit for the weekend so I won't be able to make it. Maybe we can get together again at the end of the summer for more fun.. I am sorry to back out at the last minute as I was very excited to come..

Bring your family with you what a great mother day your family and chickens. Don't worry we all would love to hold the infant grandson and if it get to hot for him he is welcome to come in the house. And also to take his naps. You know you want to show off your new grandson.

We had a GREAT time, enjoyed meeting everyone. It was really wonderful how much effort ya'll put into it. Red Roof and Lonesome pines know how to put on a shindig!

Guess who has the first hatch from the Hunt?! At least, I think so. After the storm passed this evening I heard peeping in the back of the house. I thought maybe somehow one of the older chicks got blown onto the back porch (How? I know, LOL! They were all secured on the carport!) I heard peep peep! Since the preperation for the storm kept me busy, I didn't check the eggs (in turner). The last thing I expected was to see an egg zipped open... and empty! A wet baby was a few cups over!

It's the Mille Fleur D'Uccle from Shannon! And now that it's warm and dry, it(she) is just adorable! I have it as day 18 and was going to lockdown tomorrow. Maybe I should go ahead and get ready for more!
