I have a 1 year old RIR and 2 red sex links of about 7 1/2 months. They free range most of the day, they receive at least 12-14 hours of light, and I feed them organic layer pellets. They only lay their eggs in the nesting boxes, which is great! However, every day I only get 2 eggs from the 3 of them. One everyday from the RIR, but the red sex links are taking to laying their eggs every other day.
is this the norm with the breed? I live in Northern California, so harsh weather is not an issue. How can I help them to lay eggs every day like my RIR?
