This chicken belongs to one of my parents. She bought it last year as a laying hen and it was evidently a carrier of some sort of respiratory ailment. She introduced it to my white leghorn who became very ill, but now resides with this chicken at their house as I didn't want to infect more birds with whatever crud they carry (hence my starting with new chicks this year). She's terribly friendly and enjoy being pet, although I rarely handle her for fear of bringing something home with me to my chicks. My mom and brother frequently have her as a lap pet.
She's not a great layer but lays a brown egg, a few a week at tops and pretty much took the winter off. Anyway, just wondering what breed she likely is for curiosities sake.
