My new red sex links get along so much better than my mixed hens ever did. I can't even tell the pecking order with them. The first chickens I had always had a very clear pecking order and the barred rock would attack others when the rooster mated with them. These red sex links are just fine with anything, not once have I saw one even peck at the other. I have to say I like them a lot better, as the old ones had bare red skin behind their heads from the barred rock attacking them, when the rooster was mounted. Is this a trait of red sex links?

I have isa browns who have no issues either, though these are my very first chickens so I have nothing to compare it to.

I have 5 Red sex-links, Golden Comets, 16 months old and they have a clearly defined pecking order. Blondie, Toesy, Raggedy Ann, Bossy, and Lovey. Bossy was Boss as a chick., and Blondie was at the bottom.:celebrate These are the only chickens I have. What kind of sex-links do you have? GC

Red I ordered them, already started. They are so much more docile than my old chickens. They go to roost a lot sooner too. They're very quiet , they're already laying and I never hear them clucking afterwards. I don't know more than red, because that's all the company listed them as.
