Red Silkies

I have buffs in a separate coop, I'm looking to keep the dark color separate. I have some hatch from my reds that I would consider buff, but the majority hatch dark. I just keep petting out any that are not dark enough. I'd like to add some other dna to the mix and see if I can darken the color I have and increase the size of the cushion and crest.

i use then to keep my combs dark on my buffs

How does that work with the comb, does it give a single comb or a walnut comb?

it mess up the comb but it add correct reds in to them

breed red cochin to silkies keep the dark hens from this breeding to go back to silkie rooster it take a couple years but it would make you type reds

theese are my babies. 5 boys 3 girls and mumma. this was taken a few weeks ago, there 26 weeks now and the litlle girls have started laying this week. I brought them from an auction as tiny chicks with there mum as pure red silkies
