Red sore feet

Yes that would be fine, just so long as he dosent have to grip.
Chunky toes and feet don't grip too well at all.
This is how im set up, it is a 4x8 post they can lay up there if they want and most of them do.
Skinner toed birds like the Dominiques seem to like this setup too.
Guess lounging is contagious.:)
His roost is round but I was thinking about changing it to something like wood planks, would that be okay for him? I also put hay underneath for a softer landing, I will bring him in later for a soak and to rest his feet :)

Okay I will try to get a roost like that soon, for now when he goes in to sleep should I let him sleep on the ground or on the round roost?
(Also that chicken is cute)

Just let him sleep where he is comfortable.
If he chooses the floor it is fine, just try to make sure he won't get pooped on.
Such a cute little puffy guy.:)
My cute chicken is Kim, she has three sisters and two half sisters all spoiled rotten.
