What breeds are crossed to produce RED STARS?

To get a red sexlink, you would need to cross a white female. carrying the silver gene (such as a white rock, RIW, deleware, etc), with a red male (such as a RIR, NHR, production red, etc).

I believe the "Red Star" variety is bred from a white Leghorn hen and a RIR roo. Whatever the breeding, they produce a lot of XL and jumbo eggs. Mine are roughly 18 months now and all still produce nearly every day.
