I have 15 of them and love them, they follow me around the yard in hopes I will give them a treat. They can can be a bit noisy in the morning when they are laying.
but not too bad. When I order next time I'll get more of these and I think I'll try some black stars also.
When I ordered my first chicks, I ordered 5 red star & 5 black star. That was almost 3 yrs ago and I still have 3 of each left & a couple of them are still laying. I prefer the red star over the black star in temperment. They both a sweet natured, but the red stars are just a little bit sweeter. I highly recommend them.
They do have a good temperment. I just got 4 and even when they are chicks they are very nice. But the older they get the more they eat. You have to feed them 2 a day even if you give them a 3 quart feeder.
