This morning, my littlest chick ...10 wks old....was slow to come out of the hen house. When I checked her vent, I noticed a red/pink swollen area to the left...about as big as the end of my pinkie finger. She seemed to move fine.
I recall that I noticed a red dot in that area last week, but it was flat and not swollen. The vent itself was clean though I know that she has had lose poo on and off. I might be able to post a photo when I get home.
Any ideas? A pecked spot? An infection? I thought about using Banix but not sure.
