Red wings? (with picture)

Well, females are born darker than males depending on the breed.

With (white) Sebastopol Geese, females are born a darker gray and yellow.
Males are usually yellow- occasionally with silvering over their backs.

my embden gosling is 12 days old and showing signs of what you call "red wing" the first 1/2" of her wings almost looks a tad swollen with blood flow too. will take pics and post . the redness as almost shown over night. from day 10 to day 12 it went from pink to red. but all looks prefectly normal as regular growth

Binka is getting some pink on her wings too, now.
Her pin feathers are coming in and some feathers are just beginning to show on her wings!

Pogo, here he is at 4 weeks. His name is Mikey and he is so friendly. He was from the day I got him.

Thank you for that picture! Hes so pretty! I think that looks just like my goose. I wish mine was friendly, I got him at a few weeks old and by then he was already scared to death of humans. I try to feed him treats to get him to come around but he wont take them.
