Redcaps

Hi All

Here is a very old print of the Redcaps.

It is the print Murray McMurray Hatchery has used for a long time.

Hi All

Here are a few pictures I took today of my Redcaps. I am very happy to see that my females are starting to get more gold in their feathers.

Excellent information on the breed! It mentions Redcap bantams, do they still exist?

Hi Ryan

Yes, I have seen pictures of the Redcap bantams but they were pictures from the UK . I will try and find it and post a link to their website.

I finally have my flock split and have the Redcaps separated from the other miscellaneous chickens. I have been getting an egg a day from each of my three Redcap hens. These girls are going into their third summer. I think that's pretty impressive. I put some in the incubator... it's hot (very) and later than I really want chicks but I couldn't resist. Of course these will be too young to add to the big chick group! Does the extreme heat (93 today) effect the vibrancy ( now there's a word!) of the hatching eggs?

Hi there , I've been looking through some of the threads to look for more information on breeding ect. and I have to say, this is true dedication to showing the progress of your flock. I loved looking at all the pictures and seeing the vidoes! The inthusiasum is great! Great job!
