Redesigning coop, input appreciated

Location doesn't make it more or less comfortable though. THAT was why I asked the OP if there was a reason. If their chickens prefer it narrow side up, that's fine. If they would prefer it wide side up, them being in FL has nothing to do with it.
Location does matter... because I have found that wide perches are better protection against frostbite.

However, the risk of frostbite in Florida is... impressively low.

And I know some people's birds do prefer the thinner perches... so...

Why are you arguing with me? I didn't even post my initial question TO you. I asked the OP. I never said anything about frostbite. (Hence location does NOT matter IN THIS CASE. I mentioned what many say LF birds seem find the most "comfortable" no matter the weather. And the OP answered my question!

I thought you didn't understand why I said that since she was in Florida, it was fine that the perches were the way they were..

I was simply trying to explain and inform. :idunno
