Redinator's First Hatch-Along

This is when I start having trouble with the "leave them be until they all hatch" rule. I just want to snuggle them :love :barnie
Yeah I would want to as well, lol. Even with my chicks from the store, I know it's a good idea to let them be and settle as much as possible for 24 to 48 hours, other than health check things, since the process of coming home is so stressful for them.

But they're so fluffy, I want to snuggle them! I didn't though, lol.

When they hatch I try to wait until I see the instinctive pecking which I take to mean they're getting hungry.

I also try to wait until there are at least three, I'll put the two driest in the brooder and leave the third to rouse the others.

I remember sweetys looked more progressed when candling as well so I didn’t imagine there was concern, just curious over here. I can’t wait to see them all
My first hatch took three days after the first chick emerged. I finally had to check the remaining eggs (5 of 12) and didn't hear any cheeping or feeling any movement. :(
