I have sent them previous photos with the roos standing on it crowing......kinda like playing king of the mountain......funny, I didn't get any response from those either. I'm not sure if they care for my humor and witt.

I will say in my DSs favor he does help me alot, he put a spotlight out back in the chicken area for me just the other week so I would not be stumbling around in the dark after work feeding, watering, and gathering eggs.

OK, this is an update to my broody. Here are some new pix of her and her babies. Out of the 5 good eggs I gave her she hatched 4, one egg was kicked out of the box with no development. The ones I took from here failed to hatch due to being covered with oil and muck. I moved her box and all on day 21 to the coop because I didn't want the babies to fall out of the nest and get stuck in all the mess under the hood. She pecked my hands the whole move but stayed sitting on the eggs and refused to budge....which actually made it easier for me.

that is the cutest thing I have ever seen! chickens are so resourceful!!!! its funny how they found the best spot in the car to lay eggs and what not

Awesome story!!! I'm thinking of putting a chicken on some in the spring. My grandmother just tells me to put her in a crate with another crate on top of her.

I'm wondering if you ever heard from your son about the truck, and if you did finally decide to turn it into a chicken coop? I think it would be sooo cool!
