I figure by the time I am old it will have gracefully migrated into a long stem rose with big leaves.

I personally think they are beautiful, especially the ones that people have designed themselves. I would like to get the SC state seal on my hand in between my thumb and index finger, it's a palmetto tree and a quarter moon. The way I feel about it, to each his/her on, it's your body, you can do with it what you will.

Some folks have too much time and money on their hands!!
As far as tatoos and piercings go, I say to each their own and if anyone wants to get one that is their perogative.
I personaly think they are a nose-wrinkler, but some folks think of their bodies as canvases to display art.
My feelings about tatoos come from the fact that I sort of straddle the age groups of the older generation that witnessed or knew the tatooed numbers/branding during the second world war, and the younger generation that has taken the fad of tatoos and piercings as a fashion statement.
Like I said, to each their own.

Just hoping before she covers her body with them, like I've seen so many younger people do, she will think about it. My stepdaughter is into it and I think she is going to regret it someday. Just sharing a thought and hoping to give a little motherly advice.

I was looking at those pics again, and saw the marbles they had sewn under their skin (how did I miss that?!) OK, that is new for me. Never saw that before, and have to say, that looks creepy.....

Your tatoo design is kind of cool, but I thought it was a fighting turkey too. I can see with a slight change to the beak it would be an eagle, though. Well, Ben Franklin wanted the noble turkey to be the national bird instead of the eagle!

I personally don't care what other people do to their bodies. If those guys want their faces covered in tattoos and they want horns implanted on their heads then that's what they want...it's a free country.

I actually really like the palm tree and moon seal. Do they still tattoo hands though? I thought it was illegal or something now. I might be making that up though.

Me? Oh no I've never been that great at art. I could draw a bit when I was a kid but I'm rusty now. And I can only draw something I've seen or that I'm looking straight at.​
