there is an argument about the first real profession, some say it's prostitution, others say it was tattooing.
lets remember that the original tattoo's and piercings ever performed were tribal and done hundreds, even thousands of years ago.
when you have tattoo's or piercings, you are part of a tribe. this may be hard for some people to understand, but do you know how many people have contorted & partially disrobed to show me their tattoo's? (including a 65 year old woman once ~ i was very impressed)
now these people would not be showing me their artwork except for the fact that they see mine first. it's an instant camaraderie & familiar feeling. we're instant friends & bonded.
i have many many tattoo's, including a full sleeve on my left arm. i've been told by many people that i wear them well. they're such a part of me now, i'd feel naked without them.
most people who get tattoo's get them for VERY personal reasons, just watch miami ink or LA ink to figure that one out.
it's a personal decision, just like your style of haircut or clothing you wear. it's part of your identity.
it like southern's ink, if i were her i'd definitely go get it touched up. there are new inks out there that last much longer & stay brighter, plus get the beak fixed.
if anything, parents WANT me to talk to their 15 year old children. i highly encourage anyone to wait until their mid 20's before getting any work done. i tell them it hurt like hell (they're NOT licked on by kittens by golly) and most importantly find a skilled artist. even if it's the greatest design/artwork in the world it will look like crap if done by an unskilled artist.
btw, that must be some heavy duty plastic used for that swimming pool, no?
oh, and i own my own business too. a very successful business. i'm sure a few clients have been offended by my artwork, but if they're going to judge me and my skills like that then i certainly don't want to list them among my clients.
i'd also like to add that i'm a woman
