I'm incubating in a Little Giant, and I can't get the early humidity below 50%. Shouldn't it be somewhere around 30%? I know it needs to be higher at lockdown, but I'm worried that the air cells won't grow enough. We're raining here right now, so it may be a futile attempt.

Are there tips to reducing the humidity? Will having 50% humidity impact the eggs negatively at hatch time?

Having 50% humidity shouldn't affect the hatch rate. When I first incubated I aimed for 50% humidity for the first while and I had a fairly decent hatch rate .I don't think there will be any problems
