I just bought one two weeks ago and paid $550
I wanted one of those really bad. The guy I bought mine from had installed a turner in it, though. He said he paid $125 for it out of Georgia.
This is what he did: He took out the rails on the sides that hold the egg trays. He welded 1/2 inch metal to form a big rectangle slightly larger than the trays on the front and back, so they wouldn't slide. Then he put a piece of steel in the back that is hooked to all the rectangle brackets, so they all tilt at the same time. It's kind of hard to explain, but it really works great. The only thing is that to make this work you have to take out two of the trays on a six tray unit. Sooo...you can ONLY hatch 400 eggs instead of 600.
This wasn't really a problem to me...my husband would probably have a heart attack, if I ever came home with a quarter of that.
