As a newbie to incubating chicks, I thought the pics I took of an eggtopsy were very interesting and would like to include them. This particular chick progressed as normal during the 3 week incubation period; however, it did not pip. I believe it’s head was too far below the air cell.

Pulled membranes away.

Chick in hatching position with beak under right wing.

Yolk fully absorbed in abdomen.

I have a few pictures of the chick’s body cavity opened, but I do not know how to put it behind a “spoiler.”

The Spoiler is under the icon with a plus sign on it. Insert spoiler, then insert pics between the spoiler begin and end codes.
