I always heard you couldn't refreeze....then I heard if food was cooked you could freeze it over again. HELP. Is this true? I had a huge pot of frozen meatballs and cooked it. I had lots left over. Can I freeze it?? Thanks!

It's not the best idea, but if you recooked it thoroughly (165*F) and didn't have it in the danger zone (40*F-140*F) for long it should be safe to refreeze. Make sure when you reheat it again that you get it up to 165*F again. Also if it really a large amount, break it down into smaller quantities less than 2 inches deep when you freeze it.

Good luck

Imp- If you are really unsure remember- If in doubt toss it out.
