Refrigerate Eggs or Not

I have been reading this debate since I found BYC. In my opinion my eggs taste better if kept on the counter at room temperature. Like someone else stated, mine don't last more than a week. When I had 12 laying hens with 4 bantams included I would refrigerate what I didn't need and give them to the neighbors. Just a fun hobby for me.

I think I like them better left out. Now, we eat or give away what we get so we don't leave them out for weeks or anything.

My only complaint is I think eggs left out get too crumbly when scrambled...but you can beat it when fried! I wish I could eat one right now...mmm!

Just so you know, blood spots don't have anything to do with whether an egg is fertile or not. They occur as the egg is forming within the hen's body.
The reason you rarely see them in store bought eggs is because store bought eggs are candled before packaging. Those eggs showing blood/meat spots are seperated and sold for use in making animal feed and other egg products.
