Not sure where I read that because of the natural membrane left on a backyard layed egg that it is not necessary to refrigerate the eggs
True or false?
Thanks

This is true, but you must NOT wash them. They will last 3 or so weeks.

If you wash them, refrigerate immediately.

If you refrigerate unwashed eggs, you cannot later leave them out on the counter they will spoil.

Refrigerated washed eggs can last up to 3 months. Most eggs from the grocery store are over 45 days old.

Cheers!

!We use to coat store bought eggs with mineral oil and that seemed to work well. Never know if what you read is correct.
Thanks
