Refrigerator for Fertile Egg Storage

Is there already a thread about converting a small refrigerator into a hatching egg temp storage place? And using auto turners to turn them on there? ... storage for just for a few days btw.

You can put the fridge on the warmest setting but the only thing wrong with using a refrigerator is that humidity is usually very low in one.
A remedy is to wrap the eggs in plastic so they won't lose too much moisture.
You could put them in cartons and wrap the cartons with plastic wrap. Then put the cartons on their side, flipping a couple times a day.
If just for a couple days, you could also store them small end up.

Thanks I was thinking of a fermentation fridge that can be set at 60. My house in north Florida is getting warmer so the eggs can’t be left on the counter for more than a day. I don’t have a place to store the eggs that is appropriate. I’m sure the humidity can be aided and the turners are an important part of my idea.

None that I am aware of. I have seen several tutorials on youtube about this, though it's not a very good idea. Even though such a refrigerator can be excellent for isolating and keeping the temperature steady, there usually isn't enough humidity inside them as they are designed to get rid of any vapors. So you'll need to figure something out for this. An air humidifier could be good, but it was too much trouble for me, so I bought an incubator at https://homienjoy.com/the-10-best-mini-fridges/, which saved me a lot of trouble.

Thank you. I ended up buying a wine chiller and set it at 60 with a water pan inside. It has anti vibration technology. The eggs haven’t lost weight. There is very little evaporation -no noticeable- in the water pan. So far so good and I didn’t need to rig it up in anyway.

It’s digital so the temp is easy to set. My hygrometer broke. I’m waiting on a new one with a second thermometer but yes I do and I keep water inside. It’s been great for keeping eggs so far.
