I know there is "scientific proof" regarding when ducks should start laying...but it seems...well here anyways...lol that every duck is different.
I had a lavender Scovy and she started laying around the 17 week mark...although her first clutch did not hatch. One that I have now did not start laying for over 8 months. And when she did, she had a very successful first hatch. It's hard to say when she will actually start laying but to be on the safe side, I would agree with 16 weeks earliest and so on.
