regarding pullorum testing

I have a question " how do they match the results in large chicken flocks ? i mean they use big white plate and test about 20 sample in one plate ?
how do they match which goes with which bird they do not tag them?

They don't. IF Pullorum is detected in that sample, the entire flock fails.
