Regarding the Horses in our lives...

I think this is so cool . . . . I've sometimes thought about trying it with Betsy's mane:
There are Youtube videos on people doing it.... But DANG you have to have a steady hand and an eye for symmetry.... I love those heart shapes. Katees hair is thick enough to do it part way but it becomes a horsie mane around where the collar would sit....

Danee is also green broke to drive. Mo & Molly will both start training this spring

Awesome.... Its such a fun way to share your equids with friends.... and gives the little ones Donkey Mule Mini a job they can do.

You know you can hitch a team to a cart.... All you need is a team pole conversion... OR you can drive tandem.... One in front of the other...

Kind of interesting looking....

Team set up for cart

You can use a regular breast collar style harness for this with a few modifications.... but the setup above requires collar and hames.

Tandom

By the way this cart is very UN balanced.... not a good one. But to drive a tandom you only need a second set of lines that are long enough and a couple of rings on the wheel horse bridle to feed them through.

Nothing you couldnt rig up yourself.
