Regional forums? Might address hatchery closures

I have been surprised at how many hatcheries seem to have closed in the Northwest in the past few years. For the new hobby breeder without connections this means feedstores or online hatchery orders are the most likely avenues.

I think that if we had a forum where people could find others in their region to consolidate hatchery orders, it would be useful. This way the chicks could be shipped in numbers large enough to keep them warm, but individuals would be able to order small numbers and then meet up with the group to divide up the chicks.

Would this be possible?
