Registering With National Pigeon Ass. vs. ???

I was just wondering for those of you who have registered what organization you picked and why? thank you for your input!

I'm a member of the National Pigeon Association, National Modena Club and Louisiana Modena Club

Yeah the APC is gone. I used to be a member of NPA but haven't renewed it in a couple years. Just never thought about it. I would like to join again sometime.
I'm a member of the Indian Fantail Club of America, Tarheel Racing Pigeon Club, IF, and AU. The IF and AU are the two national racing pigeon organizations. IFCA I joined because someone paid for my membership and some bands for my Fantails. I may renew it because I love my Fans and the info they send out is interesting.

I'd be a member of them all if I could afford it! Clubs/Orgs/Associations always send out neat stuff to read. I like anything pigeon!

I only have Homers. I was hoping to find bands through an association. Maybe the NPA for now?

You can get IF, AU, NPA, and IPB bands without joining any clubs

You can join your local racing club to get their AU or IF bands that will have their club letters on it. Same thing with breed specialty clubs affiliated with the NPA. But as far as just your typical bands with no specific club letters on it, you can get them from places like foyspigeonsupplies.com or other pigeon supply stores

My homers were banded when I got them (no club), but I sent a note to the American Racing Pigeon Union and they recorded the bands in case the birds were recorded as lost.
