Regular sized rooster + Bantam hens?

I think it depends on the Roo and the specific sizes. I wasn’t sure if our bantam silkies were being mated by our very large, very sweet Roo until one day I happened to see him in the act— he simply stepped over her and kept both feet on the ground! We have since let the silkies sit together on two of their own eggs and two ameracauna eggs and have a happy little family now.

My only concern is whether the egg size is tied to body size genetically, because I’ve read that a bantam sized hen could have large fowl sized eggs which can be fatal— have no idea if this is true. Anyone know?

Egg is sized by hens size & weight. Big hen = big egg
Small hen = small egg.
Fertilizing the egg Does Not change the size of the Egg!

Does anyone have photos of their grown standard x bantams they wouldn’t mind sharing??? There is so little photo evidence out there.
I am wanting to cross a leghorn rooster with my game bantam hens for a little bit larger sized bantam.
But I would love to know what the offspring might look like…

I’ve had yard birds before that were bantam mother standard gamefowl father cross, but the raccoons got them in the barn rafters before they matured.
