Rehabilitating an aggressive cockerel

Pics
I gave star fresh water and food this morning and he repaid me by biting my hand and leaving a good bruise i grabbed ahold of him and held him down as he came at me for some more he needs to learn this behavior is not going to be tolerated
boy does my hand hurt
I can imagine... It probably hurts like my knee did when my jersey giant kicked me and left a footprint bruise!

So now my buddy bird wants to live loose in the barn. 2 nights now he's gone to bed in there instead of with the Turkeys. The 2 remaining Bresse boys have it out for him. After removing some Turkeys I added in 4 Barnvelder cockerels, I was hoping... Buddy... (that could be his name) would take up with those 4 so that he'd have a gang to lead around. In teaching him to fly onto my arm and branches and stuff... he applied that knowledge to the gate, for escape.

He's one of those scrappy smart ones. He's a cull really, I have 0 breeding need for him. So he can just hang out and do what he wants, so long as he's nice about it. He's built too narrow to be breeding quality for dual purpose type.

That's why I'm keeping both my jersey giant boys. They're very large and great for making dual purpose.

This is one of their offspring at 15 days old!

i let Star out to have some time with the flock yesterday but it only lasted about 5 minutes he started eating out of the food bowl and my lead rooster did not like that and the fighting began
roosters usually get tired out in about 10 minutes but i didnt let it last that long because they were in the coop with limited space and didnt want either boy to get seriously hurt i was hoping star would back down but he is so much bigger than lucky who is an aracauna i hope lucky can actually get this cockerel in line because if star wins hes just gonna have a huge ego boost

ive had 3 roosters and 5 hens for awhile now ever since i downsized and i havent had any issues at all the only rooster that mounts my hens is my lead rooster
my lead rooster keeps the boys in line pretty good i think im pretty lucky having him
his name is lucky lol
Oh wow! I've got a wonderful Ameracauna rooster who is a dream; caring and protective, not not aggressive with humans at all! He has a harem of 15 hens! I had another Ameracauna rooster who was mean as hell and attacking the kids all the time. I was able to rehome him to a very large flock.

today i let star out with the rest of the flock and they started fighting at first but then he ran and hid from my other roosters this is a good sign because the fighting should be done
im gonna give him a chance to enter the coop with the rest of the flock at bedtime
