Hi everyone,
I am looking to rehome one of my roosters, as I can't bring myself to process him for meat after having named and bonded with him. He is an Easter Egger, about a year old, and is the beta of my two roosters. All the hens like my other, bigger boy better, so this guy has sacrificed manners for a little action. He is fairly small compared to my Black Australorp roo, and has a squeaky little crow. I would not consider him a good guard rooster, though he hasn't really had the opportunity to do so since my other boy does all that bodyguard stuff.
He would probably be best as an only rooster, or in a larger flock where he can have his own ladies.
Ideally, I'd like to send him to a place where he can live out his days happily. He is very polite and has given me some beautiful chicks earlier this year. I am off work until October, so I can deliver as long as you promise you aren't a murderer and are within one hour of Lincolnville, ME.
