Rehomed the last of my girls today. Feeling sad. They’ve gone to a nice lady who lives in the village over, she already has 2 from me. She said I can visit them, so I might do that at some point. They had to go as with going back and forth between parents’ houses and starting college this year, I don’t have the time for them. I know some people say “they’re just chickens” but I feel bad for them and me. I live mainly at my dads and he said I can keep quail there but it’s not the same. I so wanted to see Jolie’s blue eggs and Starsky is so close to laying! Here’s their goodbye pics:

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I appreciate it very much. I’m glad they got a good home too. I asked the lady if she would send me updates and egg pics when they lay, she said she will and she’ll update me for the next couple of months. Keeping chickens again is something I’ll consider after college but they definitely are challenging pets. Thank you all again. I hope I can still stay a part of this community and continue to contribute what I can

Stay! You’ll not only be getting a college degree but you’ll be an expert in chickens!
