Thank you everyone for your kind words. I appreciate it very much. I’m glad they got a good home too. I asked the lady if she would send me updates and egg pics when they lay, she said she will and she’ll update me for the next couple of months. Keeping chickens again is something I’ll consider after college but they definitely are challenging pets. Thank you all again. I hope I can still stay a part of this community and continue to contribute what I can

Of course you can still be a part of this community! Having chickens isn't a requirement, it's all about caring for poultry!

I think it's awesome that you are headed to collage and doing some prep work by simplifying your life. getting the most out of collage takes focus, it goes by so fast. the cool thing is, that when the time is right, you can come back to this wonderful hobby and down the line, if you so choose to create a family, you get to share it with them and I can say from experience, that it's one of the most deeply nostalgic and heart warming things I've done. it's just kind of crazy how much my later adult years echo my early younger years, even though there was a gap, it all came back so clear and has been deeply fulfilling! good luck on your next big steps!
