I did some flock management today, and rehomed two roosters.
Out of a flock of 10 chickens, I had two Rhode Island Red-Leghorn cross roosters and two Silky roosters.
Yesterday, I bit the bullet and posted fliers with pictures at the local supermarket and at Agway.
Today, a lovely local woman purchased one of my Silkies and adopted a free Rhode Island Red-Leghorn cross. I advertised the cross bred for adoption because I wasn't sure if anyone would want to actually pay for a cross bred. I didn't know any better when I bought him.
I told her about BYC, and she seemed excited about it! If Laura from Northern NJ signs up, she heard about it from me! LOL
I will miss my boys, by the way
