I will be needing to rehome 5 or 6 Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers, in approximately 6 weeks. I ordered 10 chicks, 5 of each, from Ideal Poultry, and due to their minimum, ordered 10, when I will only need/can have, 4 adults. I do not know which is which, as they are so similar, and it will be a roll of the dice and guessing, on what is rehomed, and what I keep (though ideally, I will be picking two of each to keep).
The chicks were two weeks old on the 12th, and are now in a coop that is new, and has never held any other animals. They were not vaccinated, as ideal recommended not vaccinating birds that were going into a new facility. They have been fed medicated feed, and will stay on it for another month, until they are transitioned to straight starter feed.
I am in south Louisiana, on the north shore of lake Pontchartrain, so southeast Louisiana or southern Mississippi, are within short drives.
