Rehoming a Roo Soon, Will He Manage?

I'm might be rehoming a young roo to a relative. I know how to introduce them. But will they take this ok? A single rooster from an established flock, pretty high on the pecking order, going all the way down to the bottom with younglings. Also, when should I give them the rooster? They are building the coop right now and are preparing to buy the chicks. When can a full-grown roo be introduced to them? He is a bantam and is a very sweet boy that likes to pick up food and run to the girls, he really likes his flock. Thank you.
Edit: Also what time of the day should I separate him from the others? Night, morning?
