Rehoming a rooster

If I find someone on Craigslist, should I charge a fee? Does it matter? Should I care? This is such a hard decision.

I think it's best to charge something.
It's also best to have 'full disclosure' about the bird, especially about aggression.

I have always listed my extra boys for free to a good home. I have been lucky and have found great homes for them. Good luck!

I list my boys for $5.
Most people looking to put a rooster in their freezer want him for free. If you list a minimal fee, that will usually lead to people who want to have a rooster for their flock. When the people come to pick up my boys and go to give me the $5 I tell them he's free. I too have been very lucky to have found new homes for all my boys. If your boy is not friendly, he's going to end up in the freezer sooner or later. You may as well let somebody just put them there for you.
