I do wish you'd provide a picture of this...now she struts around like a spiked dragon![]()
I, too, would love to see this. I've never heard of it, but I'd be tempted to try it to teach young hormonal roosters a lesson!I do wish you'd provide a picture of this...
Thats fabulous! I'm glad it worked out. I'd love to see pictures and if you decide to write an article on your experience, please link it here.I must say, the spiked vest/saddle worked AMAZING!! She has worn it over the last 5 days and when the troublemakers have gone after her they immediately try and then stop. As of yesterday they aren’t even trying to go after her! I’m hoping that the negative reinforcement has worked. Nobody has been injured and now she struts around like a spiked dragon. Just wanted to thank everyone for their kinds words of welcome and provide an update.
Hi, are you still looking to rehome? We are looking to rehome two of our ladies. Of late they have become not the best flock members and have begun terrorizing one of the other hens. The hen they are terrorizing is blind and around 10 years old. She has always been a member of the flock even with her deficit. Recently two of the year old flock members have started to attack the blind chicken and there are concerns it’s an attempt to kill her. Obviously the blind chicken is at a permanent disadvantage and will never be able to defend herself. The two we would like to rehome are year old Jersey Giants and are otherwise awesome birds. If anyone can help please reach out!
