Reintegrating hen with cockerels

Hello - first time hatching chicks with our flock of 8 (two buff orps, one light sussex, three caramel queens, one Ameraucana hen and roo) and I made what I now understand to be the mistake of separating momma hen and chicks into a separate coop and small run that share a fence with our main run, but in a less used portion of it. The chicks are now almost 7 weeks old.

I've made some attempts at visits over the last week or two which went okay until my usually VERY friendly rooster went after momma hen. He didn't do any physical damage but scared her badly.

The main question I have right now stems from the fact that at least one but possibly two of our five chicks have started crowing. I'm guessing this might be what has my rooster's knickers in a twist. Do I bother to work to integrate these cockerels with the flock or should I wait until I know for sure who the roos are that I'm going to have to rehome anyway?

I have a dog crate all set up and was going to move mom and the teenagers into the main coop but I'm afraid my rooster won't tolerate the cockerels (or their mom!) now that they've started crowing back at him in the morning.

Thank you for any advice!

You should separate the cockerels into their own pen together. If the rooster won’t accept the broody hen, you may need to separate him with the cockerels too.

Thank you. Good to have confirmation that I shouldn't try to integrate the cockerel(s).

I've got one 99% identified but the other one is being a bit more secretive. Hopefully it will come clear in the next 2-3 weeks!

I know. I couldn't believe it but one of them started between 5-6 weeks (almost positive it's our blue cochin cross).

They're feeble but there's no doubt that's what's coming out of the wee coop. I think our rooster has inspired them!
