I gave my 7 girls a break from an overmating roo, I put him back and I see some of the girls pecking at his chest feathers. Is that normal, are they bullying him?

More likely grooming that is escalating to feather pecking/plucking. Many roosters just stand there and let the ladies have their way.

thank you for that info. I was hoping that girls felt more empowered and over mating would not restart, but this is not a sign for that.
