Reintroduce the bully

How do you reintroduce a hen that has been in timeout for bullying for two weeks?

I’ve read that you put her back when it’s dark with the rest, or put her in her own area with the others to get them used to her or put her in with one of the middle of the flock hens so she isn’t going in the group by herself.

These suggestions all make sense but I’m not sure which is best?

I have 8 hens, two teenagers, and two 3 week old chicks.

I have no experience with seperating a bully. Only had a newcomer who was bullying some of my other chickens and she got bullied by one chicken who definitely didn’t accept her bossy behaviour.

She had her own tiny coop and run connected to the main run. After I opened the gate to let the chickens mingle, I separated the bully again when I couldn’t supervise. After a week it got better. And I opened the gate between the two runs permanently.

I would like to be around to see what’s happening. Especially because you have such young chicks.

If the bully is bullying again (too much), you can separate her a few more days/another week.
