After raising pigeons in my younger years, I had to give up my hobby of keeping pigeons in my back yard and my sister in laws farm. I had over 300 birds at one time. Then came Uncle Sam and the Viet Nam war. After that I got married and raised a family instead. When my children were young, I told them stories of my childhood and my love of animals. That love was handed down to them as they have raised many animals themselves. Now in my 70's I and my wife have settled down after over 50 years of marriage, she has supported my past love of pigeons. As of today I am changing her greenhouse into an aviary for maybe 8 birds. I have to reeducate myself in the care and raising of pigeons. I should be done with my coop in a couple of weeks. Now my task of finding a place to obtain young and healthy birds. I think I will look for 3 pairs of white homers and either 1 or 2 pair of rollers. I am now located in N.E. Penna. If there is anyone who knows of a breeder in my area please let me know. I am not looking for expensive birds as some of the auctions are selling. Just healthy and young birds that will satisfy my experience of my younger years. Maybe a fellow veteran is out there, that can help me out. Thanks for listening to my ramblings and God Bless America. Jim
