Hi
We live in North Carolina with 9 chickens and 3 turkeys. There is a very strong possibility of us moving to either Texas or Oregon, ideally with our flock.
4 of our chickens are 5 yrs old, 3 are 4 yrs and the other 2 plus the turkeys are under a year old. All are named and beloved pets regardless of how many eggs they lay or how stubborn they are (yes Lola and Goose I'm talking about you!)
Does anyone know of a company that would move these guys for us without us having to take out a mortgage to cover it. Most of the animal people we know are "serious" farmers who process their hens when egg productivity falls off. I worry that we are signing their death warrants by not taking them. That and the fact that I love my girls.
Thanks

There are also horse transporters....can look into that option as well.
There’s is no doubt that I would be taking my flock with me as well! Good luck!

Hmm... First I would look up the regulations of the state you are moving too, if you are not NPIP then you may have to have vet testing/certifications on your flock prior to moving them. Once they are cleared as healthy, you could consider shipping them to yourself. This link should give you some of the info. you need.

Good luck!
