I have been given a 2-3 month old pullet (RIR or brown Leghorn) that has been fed 50/50 scratch/laying pellets. At least the scratch component will have somewhat"diluted" the excess calcium in the layer, but, this has been a really low protein diet.
I'm wondering what the best is for her now - I'm hoping to integrate her with my layers (and, some of the older ones are "spent" now anyway), I'm thinking about changing everyone to flock raiser with oyster shell available. or, trying to give the youngster some time on grower - though, this may be difficult as it will mean keeping her segregated for a while .

Thoughts, suggestions?

TIA

Providing calcium on the side with grower should fill the bill. Those needing the calcium will eat the oyster shell or whatever you provide. Those not needing it won't eat it.
