I saw a hawk get one of mine yesterday-a young pullet.........and it makes me sick. I have lost two Silkies this way. No more free ranging......at least for a long while.

Yep, and nearly caught the sucker with my bare hands cause he didnt want to let go. You would think it would be difficult but apparently I've got some very clever hawks around here.
 
Cooper's Hawks are the worst... Somehow the fly in under the crows' radar. At least the crows catch the buteos and owls though...

But sharp shins couldnt hurt a fully grown bird could they? Because sharpies are like the size of a bluejay!
