You got your work cut out for you where candling is concerned...lol I have 4 greens in right now and I have a real decent light, but after a week, I can just make out the veins and that's about it. I've never had a truely blue egg, so I don't know what candling them are like but the dark browns are as bad as the greens. It is. All my eggs are green/blue or dark brown.
Usually...and I say that with caution...lol, you'll smell a bad egg first. I had one in my very first hatch taht was smelly and turned out to be a green one. I sniffed it out and took it outside to crack it open. It was black inside and cracking it open wasn't the smartest thing I had ever done. Then I had one in my second hatch that didn't smell but almost exploded. Thankfully it had a tough membrane...lolJust my luck for first hatch.
I sure done want any to explode!
My candler came with my incubator so I thought I would be a good one.![]()
That works too...lollol! I'm so not a sniffer.. I'll be like "honey, can you smell these for me?"
Lol!
