It's been a couple of years since I last raised baby ducks, chicks, etc. so, can someone remind me when it is that I can take the chicks/ducks off the heat lamp?

I gradually ween mine by dropping the temp by 5 or so degrees per week until the brooder temp is close to the outside temp, usually about 4-6 weeks. You'll know if it is too soon as they will all huddle together instead of roosting.

Oh alright. That sounds about right from what I remember LOL! Now, I don't have a second brooder box or a second lamp, so what do I do with my new borns, and my ducklings? They will need a hotter temp than the older ones, right? Any ideas, on how I get around that?

You could mount the lamp in one end of your brooder. The younger ones will usually move closer or farther away to regulate thier body heat, atleast thats what my chicks usually do.
