remote weather station / wireless sensor on inside or outside of coop?

I had one of those as part of an atomic clock. It quit almost exactly on it's 1 year birthday.
3 years later and the clock is still going strong.

Due to the bad experience; I haven't bought another one since. We have a regular thermometer over the roost and if I really wanna know I can go look myself
